What the bank statement converter does
Upload a digital PDF bank statement and this tool extracts the transactions into a clean table, Date, Description, Amount and Balance, that you can download as a CSV and open straight in Excel or Google Sheets. Everything runs in your browser using PDF.js, so your statement is never uploaded to any server. For financial data, that privacy is the whole point.
Why convert statements yourself
Manually retyping a statement is slow and error-prone, and most online converters paywall after a page or two, or worse, ask you to upload sensitive documents to their servers. This tool is free and unlimited because the work happens on your device, and your statement stays with you.
How to use it
- Download the original PDF statement from your bank (not a scan or screenshot).
- Upload it here. The tool reads the text and finds the dated transaction rows.
- Review the table, then download the CSV or copy the rows straight into a spreadsheet.
Getting the best results
- Use the bank's original PDF, which has a real text layer, rather than a photo or scan.
- Check the total. Bank layouts vary, so glance over the extracted rows against the statement before relying on them.
- Edit freely. Once it is a CSV, you can clean, categorise or reconcile it in your spreadsheet.
Good to know
- Your statement never leaves your device, there is no upload and nothing is stored.
- Scanned (image-only) statements are not supported yet because there is no text to read; OCR is planned.
- If automatic detection misses rows, the tool shows the raw extracted text so nothing is lost.
