Only for files you can already open
This tool is for convenience, not for bypassing security. You must supply the correct password; it cannot crack or remove protection from a file you are not entitled to open. If the password is wrong, the tool simply tells you and does nothing else.
Why this one uses a server
Decryption cannot be done reliably in the browser, so this tool sends your PDF to our server over a secure connection, removes the password, returns the file, and deletes the temporary files immediately. Your file and password are never stored or logged. It is the counterpart to the Etoolio password-protect tool, and the rest of the PDF toolkit runs fully in your browser.
