Exposure isn't the same as replacement
A high exposure score means a lot of the role's routine tasks can be assisted or automated by AI, not that the job vanishes. History and current research both point the same way: most jobs are reshaped, the boring parts get automated, and the human parts (judgement, care, relationships, physical skill, creativity) become more valuable. This tool is built to show you that split.
What tends to be exposed vs safe
- More exposed: data entry, telemarketing, bookkeeping, routine admin and support, first-draft writing.
- Middle (augmented): software, analysis, design, marketing, many knowledge roles, AI does tasks, humans direct.
- Less exposed: skilled trades, nursing, therapy, teaching, and other hands-on or deeply human work.
