Get to the point, faster
An AI text summarizer reads through a long piece of text and gives you back the key points in a fraction of the words. Instead of wading through a whole article, report or email thread, you get a clear, faithful summary you can read in seconds and act on.
What you can summarize
- Articles and blog posts: pull the main ideas out of a long read.
- Reports and research: get the gist before deciding what to read in full.
- Emails and threads: catch up on a long conversation quickly.
- Notes and transcripts: turn meeting notes into a tidy recap.
How to use it
- Paste your text into the box, up to about 15,000 characters at a time.
- Choose a length, Short for a couple of sentences, Medium for a paragraph, or Long for a fuller summary.
- Press Summarize and read the result in a few seconds, then copy it wherever you need.
Tips for better summaries
- Clean text works best: remove menus, adverts and navigation you may have copied along with the article.
- For very long documents, summarize them one section at a time, then summarize the summaries.
- Pick the length to match the job: Short for a quick TLDR, Long when you need the detail.
Privacy and accuracy
- Unlike Etoolio's fully in-browser tools, the summarizer sends your text to a third-party AI service to generate the summary, so avoid pasting anything confidential.
- AI summaries are usually reliable but can miss nuance or occasionally get a detail wrong, so check anything important against the original.
- The tool runs on a free AI model, so at busy times you may need to wait a moment and try again.
